For 36 years, Hour Homes and our sister company, Brookstone Homes (founded 2001), have successfully developed & built 45 new home communities in Stafford and Spotsylvania counties. We have proudly built and delivered 1,900 new homes to satisfied families.

Michael J. Stonehill, Sr., founded the company and leads this family-run real estate building and development business alongside his four sons. The communities we serve are great, and only an hour drive to D.C. or 20 minutes to Fredericksburg!  We have excellent schools, strong law enforcement, good shopping, numerous churches, & parks in Stafford, and an outstanding location close to Fredericksburg.

Hour Homes has made an indelible mark on Stafford County, by developing and building many of the most popular subdivisions in the county's history. Communities such as Sunningdale Meadows (1988), Stonehill Estates (1994), Devon Green (1996) Kings Crest (1999), Seasons & Somerset Landing (2008), Berkshire (2008), Poplar Estates (2014), Churchill Meadows (2017), and most recently Sullivan Estates (2022).

 

We are currently building in Sullivan Reserve, Dolittle Farm, Chesapeake Ridge, and Kinsley Estates as well as other smaller communities in Stafford County. Our newest model home is located in Mountain View Estates at the following address: 2038 Poplar Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22406.

Being that we exclusively build in Stafford, we know this market like the back of our hand.  We conceive and purchase land directly from local landowners, design all communities, manage our employees and subcontractors, and build unparalleled communities in this area.

 

We employ a faithful and diligent staff of approximately 20 employees with a combined management-building experience of over 70 years! Our number one goal is to build the best communities that Stafford County has to offer and to make our customers happy!  In addition to our corporate and building staff, we have an exclusive list of incredibly talented & locally-based subcontractors, who have also been working with us for over 30+ years. We are big enough to get things done, yet small enough to care about you and your family throughout the building process.

Hour Homes is our “value” line of homes & Brookstone Homes is our “luxury” line of homes, with upgraded standard features. Both companies will build only in the finest hand-picked locations. Nearly all communities that we build in are planned, engineered, and developed (including road building & utilities) "in-house" by our management team.
